Alden Burgess is a writer/director/actor whose work is inspired by his extensive study of past masters. While attending Rockport College’s Professional Certificate program he directed, edited, and wrote a number of short films. His independent short film, Chance, is a Platinum Remi Winner at WorldFest-Houston and has been featured in over a dozen film festivals worldwide. Alden, wanting to know more about acting, took a year of Meinser training at the Ward Acting Studio. He has since been in numerous plays including Tom Stoppard’s Real Inspector Hound, which he followed up with a starring role in Peter Shaffer’s The Public Eye. His biggest role was in the Ward company’s original production, At The Hand Of My Mother, where he not only acted but created all the photography and video that was shown throughout the play. His current film, What Is She To You?, combines his love of acting and cinematography to create a provocative story that challenges the audience to question their sense of right and wrong. |
